Kelleden Cabin is a Self Catering holiday accommodation in Mid Devon near Dartmoor. A wood cladded lodge in a log cabin style, set in the private grounds of The Barn at Brockscombe Cross, near Okehampton, amongst a variety of conifer trees and hedges and found down a country lane in the beautiful area of West Devon. Its tranquil location in the countryside gives it an air of a mountain lodge in the alps, offering warmth and comfort in the winter
and relaxation and isolation all year round.
About
Our cabin is a well equipped, centrally heated two bed accommodation ideal for a romantic getaway for couples, while also giving a great space suitable for a small family or group of friends. There is free, allocated parking for two cars on site at the front of the property, and a private guest only fenced off garden at the rear.
Situated near the North West corner of the Dartmoor National Park, just 15 minutes drive away, you have the choice of so many beautiful areas to drive, walk or cycle. There are O/S maps, guide books and places of interest leaflets in the Cabin to help you explore this beautiful part of Devon.
With several circular road walks of varied lengths from the Cabin’s doorstep which lead to many footpaths and bridleways for shortcuts or off-road ambles, there are plenty of opportunities for stretching your legs and breathing in the clean air of the Devon countryside.

Entrance hall with coat hooks and mirror, leading to lounge and both bedrooms.

Lounge/Diner with log burner effect electric stove, two seater sofa and 2 reclining armchairs, dining table and 4 chairs. Childs High Chair available.

Well equipped country style kitchen including fridge (with freezer box), dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, Swan coffee maker, electric hand mixer and electric cooker.

Master Bedroom is with either a Super King bed or Twin 3’ beds (please inform us of choice prior to stay). The spacious room can be divided in to two separate sleeping areas by a center curtain. Its en-suite has bath/overhead shower, toilet and wash basin, shaver point, electric heated towel rail. Toddler's put-u-up bed and Infants Travel Cot can be available upon request.

Bedroom 2 with double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, en-suite shower, toilet and wash basin.

Both En-suites have luxury Cole & Lewis Shower Gel, Shampoo and Conditioner.

Outside covered utility area with washing machine, tumble dryer, mop and bucket, carpet sweeper and airer. There is also a wet coat/boot hanging area.

Decked area to the back of the cabin with garden dining set for four.

Fenced off, small and slightly 'wild' private back garden with lawn and tree area with swings, solely for guest's use. There is a 5 seater corner sofa set on another decked area, with gas BBQ (upon request at £10 per day). Garden Shed stores seat covers and cushions.

All bedding, bath and hand towels, tea towels and J cloths are provided.

Our Location
The Cabin is just off the A3079, between Okehampton and Halwill Junction down a country land at Brockscombe Cross only 7 miles away from the A30. There are regular trains from Exeter to Okehampton and regular buses (no 6) that stop at Castle Cross (Bradbury) 1.5 miles away.
There are walks directly from the cabin's door along country lanes leading to off-road rambles. Roadford Lake is only 2½ miles away, taking in some beautiful views across the countryside and on the other side of Roadford Lake (a short drive away from the cabin) there is a café where you can enjoy some well deserved refreshments after exploring some of the lakeside and woodland walks that it offers. O/S maps are provided for guest's use, kept in the lounge bookcase with other information for other attractions and places to visit, during your stay.
With easy access to the A3079, A386 and the A30 just 7 miles away, opens up opportunities to explore Dartmoor, Exmoor and all that Devon can offer. The Cabin is centrally positioned for North Cornwall coast line, Barnstaple, Exeter, Tavistock and Plymouth, all within a 25 mile radius! Other nearby attractions include:
Okehampton Castle, Dartmoor Railway, Dingles Herritage Fairground, Lydford Gorge, Morwellham Quay, Castle Drogo, Buckland Abbey, Miniature Pony Centre, to name but a few.

Sue and Pat have created a unique peaceful escape with everything we needed as a family to take a break from home. They are an amazing couple with great knowledge of the local area. The cabin is designed and furnished to an excellent standard and definitely feels cosy in every way. The kitchen has all the things that made our stay comfortable. Directions south from Bristol M5
M5 to Exeter J31 (the very end of M5) Take A30 towards Bodmin
Continue along A30 (ignoring Okehampton junction at Belstone),
approx 23 miles.
Turn off A30 for A386 (Tavistock, Bideford, Bude and Holsworthy) –
turn right at end of slip-road onto A386.
Continue along A386 past service station for 1.5 miles to mini Roundabout.
Turn left at Mini Roundabout towards Bude – A3079.
Continue along A3079 for 5 miles, through Thorndon Cross, (ignoring 1st Bratton Clovelly turning opposite a house.)
Turn left for Bratton Clovelly at Cross roads – Castle Cross Broadbury - by large Layby and 2 Masts (one on right looks like tall scaffolding). Continue down country road for ½ mile.
Turn right for Germansweek. Continue along minor road and down hill to the Brockscombe area.
SATNAV will take you down to the main Farm, continue for a further 100 yards and it is on your LEFT before the Brockscombe Cross junction.
